CANTON, Ohio – The USFL Championship game is set between the Birmingham Stallions and the Pittsburgh Maulers, where the Stallions are heavy favorites to win the game.

USFL Championship: Birmingham Stallions Vs. Pittsburgh Maulers

  • Moneyline: Stallions (-330) vs. Maulers (+265)
  • Spread: Stallions -7.5
  • Total: 45.5 Points

On the Stallions side of things, they had an easy route to the championship, having finished 8-2 on the season, which was the best record in the South Division. As for the North Division, there was a three-way tie for first between the Maulers, Michigan Panthers, and Philadelphia Stars at an abysmal 4-6 record each. That being said, it makes sense as to why USFL betting sites have the Stallions as the heavy favorites to win.

Where Things Seem to Be Headed?

Despite the major differences in their records, signs are pointing towards the Maulers being able to keep up with Birmingham and at least make things interesting. In their only matchup of the season, Birmingham got the upper hand, but Pittsburgh was able to keep it close, only losing by four points with a 24-20 final score.

Getting into the stats more, they were even on time of possession, dives, total yards, red zone attempts, and yards per completion, amongst several others.

From the USFL betting standpoint, some cases support the Maulers covering the spread. In four of Pittsburgh’s six losses this season, they were able to cover against a +7.5-point spread. As for the Stallions, In six of the 11 games that they’ve played thus far, they’ve failed to cover -7.5 points on the spread.

One tidbit to look at on the point total, is that Birmingham has gone over 45.5 points in each of their last four games. If they do take control of the game pace as they have all season, this should be an easy over to hit.
