Overreaction Monday: Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions

  • Could the Arizona Cardinals be the best team in the league by a wide margin?
  • On the flip side, are the Denver Broncos the most overrated team in the NFL?
  • Could the Detroit Lions be well on their way to a 0-17 season?

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The sixth Sunday of the NFL season has concluded which brings more overreactions to the table for Monday.

The Arizona Cardinals Are Even Better Than Everyone Thought

The Arizona Cardinals are undefeated and are the only team in the NFL that can say that, yet they still may not be getting the respect they deserve. NFL betting sites have Arizona with the fourth-shortest odds in Super Bowl 56 futures.

Super Bowl 56 Winner

  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +475
  • Buffalo Bills +525
  • Kansas City Chiefs +700
  • Arizona Cardinals +800
  • Los Angeles Rams +800
  • Green Bay Packers +900
  • Baltimore Ravens +1000
  • Dallas Cowboys +1000
  • Cleveland Browns +2000

The Cardinals just went into Cleveland to beat the Browns without their head coach at the game. Also, online sportsbooks had Arizona as the underdogs, which now looks incredibly disrespectful in hindsight. There’s no reason not to believe the Cardinals will win the Super Bowl at this point.

The Denver Broncos Are The Most Overrated Team

The Denver Broncos have been favored in each of their last three games and ended up losing outright in all three. The team started the season 3-0 with wins over the New York Giants, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the New York Jets, arguably the three least impressive wins in the sport.

Broncos Vs Browns Week 7 Odds

  • Denver Broncos +4.0 -110
  • Cleveland Browns -4.0 -110

Denver is finally an underdog for the first time of the season next weekend against the Browns. While this is a step in the right direction, Denver needs to prove they can hold their own with the good teams before they’re confidently bet on by sports bettors.

The Detroit Lions Will Go 0-17 This Season

The Detroit Lions are the only team in the league to not have a win, and truthfully, it may not come anytime soon. Detroit has the third-toughest remaining strength of schedule in the league and there doesn’t seem to be many winnable games left.

Lions Vs. Rams Week 7 Odds

  • Detroit Lions +15.5 -110
  • Los Angeles Rams -15.5 -110

It would appear as if the Lions starting 0-7 is all but guaranteed, as they’re one of the biggest underdogs of the season in their game against the Los Angeles Rams. Realistically, Detroit has a chance to beat the Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons, other than those two games, it’s tough to see them competing for real victories to add to their record this season.
