  • The Green Bay Packers are one of five teams left with an undefeated record so far this year.
  • The Packers' next opponent will be against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Tampa Bay.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — After getting off to a hot 4-0 start to their season, it has been made clear that the Green Bay Packers are the real deal and should be taken seriously.

Being that they are undefeated thus far in the season, NFL sportsbooks have odds on if they can actually go undefeated during the regular season.

Green Bay Packers To Go 16-0 In The Regular Season?

  • Yes +1200
  • No -7500

The Packers are obviously favored to not go undefeated in the regular season as this is an extremely difficult thing to do. Only four teams in the history of the NFL have completed a perfect regular season including the 1934 and 1942 Chicago Bears, 1972 Miami Dolphins, and 2007 New England Patriots.

Taking a look at the remainder of the Packers schedule, however, they can certainly plead their case for an undefeated regular season. Right off the bat, they have 12 games remaining in their season and of the 12 remaining games, six of them come against teams who have a below .500 record right now.

Some of the teams on their remaining schedule with above .500 record could see their records change, however, like the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.

Aside from their remaining games, the Packers have been playing near-perfect football this season.

Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP-caliber level as he has thrown for 1,214 yards and 13 touchdowns in just these four games which also includes zero interceptions and also has the highest QB rating at 92.6.

Their running back, Aaron Jones, has been playing as if he hasn’t skipped a beat from the 2019 season as he has already rushed for 374 yards and four touchdowns and has pulled in 135 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns as well.

They also have a star receiver in Davante Adams who has only played one game this season and have also seen an emergence in third-year tight end, Robert Tonyan who has become a clear red zone threat as he has put up 173 receiving yards and five touchdowns in the season thus far which is tied or the third most on the year.

Putting together both the strength of their remaining schedule and the high-level performance that this team is doing, it could be worth the risk for NFL bettors to bet on the Packers going undefeated and offering a huge payout if they pull it off.

Their next test could be the biggest of the season, however. The Packers are set to face off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Tampa Bay. Although the Buccaneers are coming off of a Thursday Night Football loss against the Chicago Bears, their still seen as Super Bowl contenders from a talent standpoint.

If the Packers are able to clear that hurdle, look for their odds to shift more in favor of an undefeated season.
