WASHINGTON D.C. – The Washington Football Team and New York Giants will face off for Thursday Night Football to kick off Week 2 of the season. Going into the game, Washington is favored to beat the Giants and end their five-game losing streak to New York.

Aside from the regular betting lines that NFL sportsbooks have to offer, there are also different player props as well on a number of players such as Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, and Sterling Shepard.

Washington Football Team Player Props

Terry McLaurin Receiving Total

  • OVER 70.5 -120
  • UNDER 70.5 -110

Antonio Gibson Rushing Total

  • OVER 70.5 -120
  • UNDER 70.5 -105

Starting with Terry McLaurin’s prop for the game, although he stayed UNDER 70.5 yards in Week 1, the OVER for his Week 2 matchup with the Giants could be taken without hesitation. Looking back to how McLaurin has played against the Giants, he has gone over 75 yards in each of the three games he has played with them. It is also worth noting that the Giants allowed 264 receiving yards in Week 1 which should be more than enough for McLaurin to get the open looks needed to hit the OVER on this wager.

Moving on to Antonio Gibson’s NFL odds, the OVER should be just as easy for him to obtain. First off, Gibson is coming off of a 90-yard performance in Week 1 and the Giants also let Melvin Gordon go for 101 yards in their first week. There are a couple of factors internally with Washington that play into Gibson demolishing the OVER. One main thing is that Gibson acted as the sole back for Washington with 20 carries. Also, their backup quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, will be starting, which could force them to run the ball more, being that he is less efficient than QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.

New York Giants Player Props

Sterling Shepard Receiving Yard Total

  • OVER 57.5 -110
  • UNDER 57.5 -120

Sterling Shepard opened up the season steaming hot with 113 receiving yards and a touchdown and it is shaping up for him to have a repeat performance in Week 2 against a Washington secondary that allowed for 337 yards last week.

The game script in Week 2 should play in his favor as well being that the Washington defense against the run is one of the best in the league which will force New York to pass the ball more. Washington allowed for just 90 rushing yards last week. Shepard also built great chemistry with Daniel Jones as he led the team in targets with 9.

With that being said, 57.5 yards should not be hard for him to get.
