Can Tyler Shough Show Out?

It’s been a rough five seasons for the Saints since Drew Brees retired. Since 2020, they’ve gone through seven different starting QBs at different points during the season and have landed on Tyler Shough. Show was a second-round pick out of Louisville in 2025 and was thrown into the QB1 slot in Week 9 of last season after Spencer Rattler was benched.

In 10 games as the starter last season, Shough went for 2,384 yards, 10 touchdowns, and six interceptions while adding 186 rush yards and three rushing touchdowns.

Now with a full offseason operating as QB1, the Saints were committed to building around him on offense. They made several offensive draft picks in the form of Jordyn Tyson, Bryce Lance, and Baron Brown at receiver. They also signed Travis Etienne as the new lead back ahead of Alvin Kamara.

All in all, the Saints Super Bowl odds take a step forward this season, mainly because the NFC South is not as competitive a conference as it once was.
