Rodgers Odds to the Raiders, Lamar, Wentz Next Team Odds

  • If not Green Bay, the Las Vegas Raiders (-200) are the favorite to be the team Aaron Rodgers starts for in Week 1 of the 2023-2024 NFL season.
  • If Lamar Jackson moves on from Baltimore, he is favored to be the Atlanta Falcons starting quarterback next season with +250 odds.
  • The Kansas City Chiefs are the most likely landing spot for Carson Wentz at +300.

LAS VEGAS – The 2023 NFL offseason will be exciting based on the quarterback carousel of top league talent. Headlined by Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson, the two players have betting odds for which team they will start for next season if they don’t re-sign with their current teams.

Aaron Rodgers Next Team Week 1 2023 (If Not GB)

  • Las Vegas Raiders -200
  • New York Jets +140
  • Tennessee Titans +900
  • San Francisco 49ers +1600
  • New England Patriots +2000

The Las Vegas Raiders (-200) are expected to be Aaron Rodgers’ next team if he leaves Green Bay.

Based on a long feud between Rodgers and the front office, the Packers may be ready to move on to their young quarterback in Jordan Love who is ready to get his opportunity.

In an interview at the NFL Combine, Green Bay Packers GM Brian Gutekunst stated that “We’re excited about him. He needs to play.” When discussing Jordan Love.

Rodgers has plenty of reason to choose Las Vegas as his next destination, with former teammate Davante Adams leading the offense.

Rodgers is guaranteed $59.5 million dollars if he plays in 2023, a contract the Raiders (-200) can afford after releasing Derek Carr and restructuring contracts.

The New York Jets would likely prefer Derek Carr, as he will be a much cheaper option that won’t contemplate retirement after each year.

Outside of the New York Jets, all the other options for the four-time MVP’s next team are far less likely than the Raiders.

If Rodgers cashes his -200 odds and goes to Las Vegas, the Raiders Super Bowl odds will drastically shorten.

Lamar Jackson Next Team (If not Ravens)

  • Atlanta Falcons +250
  • New York Jets +300
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +450
  • Las Vegas Raiders +600
  • New England Patriots +700

Lamar Jackson is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent if the Baltimore Ravens don’t franchise tag him by March 7 or sign him to a long-term deal by March 15.

If the two parties can’t agree on a deal, Lamar’s most likely next destination is Atlanta, with +250 odds to be the teams starting quarterback in 2023.

The Atlanta Falcons are still searching for their franchise quarterback after the departure of long-time Falcon Matt Ryan.

The Falcons have the second most cap space in the NFL, only trailing the Chicago Bears who are not shopping for a quarterback.

They can afford to pay Lamar the $250 million guaranteed contract that he is searching for.

There are plenty of reasons why Lamar Jackson will want to play in Atlanta next year, such as a talented young offense, highly respected front office, and a prominent sports town.

Lamar’s arrival in Atlanta will likely elevate the Falcons NFC South odds next season.

Carson Wentz Next Team Odds

  • Kansas City Chiefs +300
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers +400
  • Las Vegas Raiders +600
  • Buffalo Bills +700
  • Arizona Cardinals +700
  • Atlanta Falcons +700
  • Carolina Panthers +700
  • Any CFL Team +2000
  • Any XFL Team +2000

Carson Wentz proved he was not worth his $26 million dollar cap hit, as he was released by the Washington Commanders last week.

Wentz was benched twice during the season, throwing 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions in eight games.

The Chiefs are a surprising favorite with +300 odds to sign Carson Wentz as a backup.

Considering the Chiefs are paying Patrick Mahomes $45 million a year, they will likely spend their extra cash on offensive weapons, not backup quarterbacks.

Kyle Trask is the current starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers following the retirement of Tom Brady.

The Bucs (+400) are -$55 million in cap space, the worst in the NFL.

Their financial situation limits their ability to sign Carson Wentz.

Wentz’s poor play and formerly high contracts aren’t an attractive option for any NFL team, making his odds to join either the XFL or CFL worth a bet with +2000 odds for either.
