NFL Win Total Odds: Bears Seeing Action Against Packers Win Total

  • The Green Bay Packers are set at -1 to win one more game than the Chicago Bears this season with +100 odds to do so.
  • The Packers were 13-3 last season and made it to the NFC Championship game.
  • The Chicago Bears finished the 2019 regular season with an 8-8 record.

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The NFL season is still months away but that hasn’t stopped bettors from having the opportunity to bet on football during the offseason.

Even with the coronavirus pandemic threatening to push back the NFL regular season, sportsbooks have begun releasing futures props on win total matchups between various two teams.

One of the props to consider placing a bet on is a matchup between two NFC North Division rivals in the Chicago Bears vs. Green Bay Packers for which team will have more regular season wins in 2020.

Last season the Bears finished with an 8-8 record while the Packers won the NFC North with a 13-3 record and made it to the NFC Championship game.

Now is a great time to bet on these props as many teams have already made most of their free agent signings and the odds aren’t likely to shift again until the NFL Draft in late April.

Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears Regular Season Win Total Odds

The Bears are seeing plenty of action taken on their odds. While they are +1 on the spread against the Packers in terms of regular season wins, they are sitting at -120 odds to cover that spread.

Chicago still has looming concerns at quarterback which have somewhat been addressed with the addition of Nick Foles who should take the starting job over former No. 2 overall draft pick Mitchell Trubisky.

The Bears still have one of the NFL’s best defenses but if their offense cannot put points on the board this team will continue to struggle for wins.

The Packers have lost some major pieces especially on the defensive end which may explain why they are at +100 odds for this prop bet. The loss of linebacker Blake Martinez to the New York Giants will be one of the biggest holes on defense for Green Bay.

Another reason to expect regression from the Packers this season is that the team still lacks talent outside of Davante Adams and Aaron Jones which offensively puts even more pressure on an aging Aaron Rodgers. The Packers offense will be the biggest wild card for the team this season and they haven’t made any moves to add talent around Rodgers yet.

Judging by where the money is going, sports bettors are avoiding the Packers odds and instead are taking the Bears who have a better team in terms of talent and have an easier schedule than Green Bay this season.
