ATLANTA – The Atlanta Falcons, despite sitting at the bottom of several odds boards, could hit nicely in 2026, all things considered. They have the star power to contend, but oddsmakers do not feel confident in their ability this season.
Super Bowl sportsbooks currently price the Falcons towards the bottom of the Super Bowl, NFC Championship, and NFC South board while also listing their win total at 6.5 wins, which is less than where they went in last season.

- NFC Championship: +4000
- NFC South: +300
- Win Total: 6.5 (Over -150)
Outplaying Their Expectations?
While the Atlanta Falcons odds are intimidating, this team has the talent to play above where their odds sit. Starting in the backfield, Bijan Robinson is arguably the best running back in the entire league. He totaled 2,298 scrimmage yards and 11 total touchdowns last season, including 1,478 rushing yards and a 5.2-yard average. As long as he’s on the field, Atlanta is always a threat to score.
The receiving room is where the upside comes into play. Drake London has proven to be a top-10 wideout and played like it last season, producing 919 yards and seven touchdowns despite shaky QB play due to injury. Atlanta really focused on the position in the offseason, signing Jahan Dotson and Olamide Zaccheaus as well as drafting Zachariah Branch, who many are calling the steal of the draft.
Under center is the biggest question mark. Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. are the options, and both have streaky pasts. Penix Jr. now comes into his third season, coming off an injury last season. Over his first two years, he totaled a 4-6 record as the starter. As for Tua, while we’ve seen him play like a top-10 QB, injuries and inconsistency have kept him off the field.
Things right now are trending towards Tua getting the nod as the Week 1 starter, and he is coming in fully healthy. His last season in 2023, where he played every game, he led the league in passing yards (4,624) and finished top-5 in passing touchdowns (29).
