A.J. Green Signs With Cardinals; Cards Super Bowl Odds Shift Forward

  • A.J. Green has signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
  • The Arizona Cardinals have +2500 odds to win the Super Bowl.
  • The Arizona Cardinals NFC Championship odds are sitting at +1400.

PHOENIX – The Arizona Cardinals have made tons of noise in the NFL Free Agency period. The two main names that they have brought in this offseason are defensive end J.J. Watt and their most recent signing was former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver, A.J. Green.

Green signed with the Cardinals on a one-year $8.5 million contract. Along with adding A.J. Green to an already explosive offense and J.J. Watt to tighten up the defense, Arizona also brought in a premier kicker in Matt Prater, who was the fourth-ranked kicker in the 2020 season previously with the Detroit Lions.

All in all, with those offseason moves, NFL sportsbooks have been busy shifting around the Arizona Cardinals Super Bowl odds.

The Cardinals Super Bowl odds opened up towards the middle of the odds boards at +3300 and have since shortened to +2500.

The same thing can be said about the Cardinals NFC Championship odds as well as they have moved from +2000 down to +1400.

The Arizona Cardinals already had one of the most explosive offenses in the league in 2020 as the connection between Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins proved to be lethal. However, now adding A.J. Green to the mix, it gives Murray yet another explosive weapon to the mix.

The Watt signing certainly plays a role on their odds as well as the Cardinals defense was at best average in 2020. Watt certainly adds a strong defensive presence to the front seven and could help hold down opposing rushing attempts.

When looking to bet on any of the Cardinals odds, it would be best to do it sooner rather than later as right now they would offer a very nice payout both on the Super Bowl odds and the NFC Championship odds. Those that wait might not get the same return as their odds could certainly shift closer and closer as the season goes on.
