Total Passing Yards - Ryan Tannehill

  • Over 244.5 -115
  • Under 244.5 -115

Ryan Tannehill Against 244.5 Total

In terms of his total yards projection, Tannehill has only hit the Over in three games this season. However, all three of those games came against bottom-10 defense against opposing quarterbacks. Tannehill went for 347 yards against the Seattle Seahawks, 298 yards against the New York Jets, and 270 yards against the Kansas City Chiefs.

All three teams allow 275+ yards to opposing quarterbacks.

Looking back to Week 3, Tannehill and the Tennessee Titans went up against the Indianapolis Colts. In that matchup, the Colts were able to hold Tannehill to 197 passing yards. However, another main factor that kept Tannehill under was the explosiveness of Derrick Henry after he finished with 113 rushing yards on 28 carries.

What The Colts Have Allowed

The Indianapolis Colts this season have allowed for just three opposing quarterbacks to go Over 244.5 passing yards.

Those names include Matthew Stafford, Lamar Jackson, and Russell Wilson. Stafford is currently averaging 310.3 passing yards per game while Jackson is putting up 277.6 yards per game.

As for the quarterbacks they kept Under, in addition to Tannehill, they were Jacoby Brissett, Davis Mills, and Jimmy Garoppolo. Both Mills and Brissett have averaged less than 200 passing yards in the games they have played this season while Garoppolo has only gone over 200 passing yards two times this season.

What To Expect From Both Sides

The Titans game plan consists of a run-heavy offense behind Derrick Henry who is averaging 124.1 yards per game. That alone will take away passing attempts from Tannehill.

Also, the Titans will be without Julio Jones as he was ruled out with a hamstring injury which could force the Titans to run the ball even more. All in all, Tannehill’s passing attempts could certainly be limited in this one which could push his passing yard total towards the Under.
