PITTSBURGH – According to the Super Bowl odds, the Pittsburgh Steelers are headed for a dark season despite a consistent winning record and playoff appearances.
Super Bowl betting sites have the Steelers priced at +7500 odds, which are tied for their longest preseason odds since 2000.
Steelers Preseason Odds
- Super Bowl: +7500
- AFC Championship: +2800
- AFC North: +525
- Win Total: 8.5 (Over +120)
It’s hard to see why the Steelers odds going into the season are as low as they are. Across the board, these are their lowest preseason odds in any category. The Steelers have gone over their 8.5 win total in four of the last six seasons and have made the playoffs in five of them. The only downside to those playoff appearances is that all five of them ended with a wild-card round loss.
Rodgers Last Dance
It’s highly likely that this is Aaron Rodgers's last season, and the Steelers are riding with him as their QB1. Rodgers is coming off a 3,322-yard, 24 TD season in 2025. His passing yards total is the lowest of his career when starting at least 15 games in a season. That said, the decline is certainly there.
The Steelers did their best to remain competitive this season by signing Michael Pittman Jr. from the Indianapolis Colts and Rico Dowdle from Carolina. They also drafted well on offense with Germie Bernard and Kaden Wetjen at receiver.
The biggest kicker, though, is the Steelers' new head coach, Mike McCarthy, whom Aaron Rodgers knows very well from their time together with the Green Bay Packers. They won a Super Bowl in 2010. What’s holding the odds down is the Steelers' bottom-15 offense and defense from last season.
