Previewing The Betting Odds For The 49ers 2021 Season

  • The San Francisco 49ers have +1400 odds to win the Super Bowl.
  • San Francisco was filled with injuries in 2020 that held them back to a 6-10 record.

SAN FRANCISCO – After contending for a Super Bowl in 2019, the 49ers hoped to be contenders in 2020 were cut short after an injury-riddled team that left them sitting at a 6-10 record to cap off the season.

Heading into the 2021 season, this team is back to full strength and they have added tons of pieces to get their Super Bowl odds up to +1400 where they contend with other top teams in the league.

Even with all of the injuries, the 49ers still managed to make noise on defense in 2020 as the fifth-ranked team when it came to total yards allowed. Looking back at their 2019 defense, they were sitting inside the top-10.

Not only did the 49ers have an eventful free agency, but they made tons of noise in the draft as well with their selection of rookie quarterback, Trey Lance. In addition, they looked to add to their offensive line and bolster up their defense even more.

49ers Player Acquisitions

  • Trey Lance, QB
  • Alex Mack, OT
  • Senio Kelemete, OT
  • Mohamed Sanu, WR
  • Davonte Harris, DB
  • Alexander Myres, DB
  • Maurice Hurst, DL
  • Trey Sermon, RB
  • Aaron Banks, OT
  • Ambry Thomas, DB

The biggest move here was them drafting Trey Lance as it seems that they are looking to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo. The same thing goes for Trey Sermon as they already have a proven running back in Raheem Mostert.

One of their free agency signings to look out for is Maurice Hurst who came over from the Las Vegas Raiders. He is young and still has a lot to prove and is sure to bulk up the defensive line.

San Francisco 49ers Line Movement

The 49ers Super Bowl odds have been headed in the right direction since opening at +1600 and have since come down a bit to +1400. Their odds to win the NFC West division saw a big shift as they opened up on the further side at +340 and they are now favored at +175.

As for their NFC Championship odds, they have not moved and remain at +550.
