Over/Under Win Total Odds Show Jags Favored To Have Worst Record In NFL

  • The Jacksonville Jaguars are favored -120 odds to win less than 5 games in the 2020 NFL season.
  • The Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, and Cincinnati Bengals are all predicted to have the lowest amount of wins and worst records in the league.

NEW YORK - As the 2020 NFL season inches closer and closer, fans can look at a surplus of NFL betting odds. Although some of these odds may not be too flattering for certain teams, especially in the case of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

To go along with that, sportsbooks have set the odds for an NFL prop bet concerning which team will inevitably be the team that finishes with the most losses.

2020-2021 Team with the most regular season losses

  • Jacksonville Jaguars +325
  • Carolina Panthers +600
  • Washington Redskins +600
  • Cincinnati Bengals +650

NFL Sportsbooks have also posted Over/Under win totals which gives bettors a chance to bet on how many wins a team can bring home. This could also be used as a way to predict which team will have the worst record in the league.

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Wins: 4.5
  • Over +100
  • Under: -120

The Jaguars finished 6-10 last year but have changed a few big elements of their team. Quarterback Nick Foles who was traded to the Chicago Bears despite signing a big contract with Jacksonville last year. The Jaguars also lost two of their best defensive players in defensive end Calais Campbell and cornerback A.J. Bouye. There have been talks that the team is looking forward to landing Trevor Lawrence in the 2021 NFL draft. If that is the case, the Jaguars may be tanking this season to draft their future franchise quarterback.

Carolina Panthers

  • Wins: 5.5
  • Over: -130
  • Under: +110

The Carolina Panthers finished the 2019 season with a 5-11 record. The team made big headlines when they released former NFL MVP Cam Newton after nine seasons and a Super Bowl appearance. The Panthers replaced him with Teddy Bridgewater who had just been with the New Orleans Saints replacing Drew Brees while he was hurt. Not only did the Panthers change the entire makeup of the team by replacing their franchise QB but also fired head coach Ron Rivera and hired a new NFL coach Matt Rhule. All of these offseason moves indicate why the Over is favored for this prop bet.

Washington Redskins

  • Wins: 5.5
  • Over: -120
  • Under: +100

Last year, the Washington Redskins won three games and ended their season with a 3-13 record. The Redskins hired former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera but lost quarterback Case Keenum and star cornerback Josh Norman. In the draft they received highly rated defensive end, Chase Young, from the Ohio State Buckeyes to join the former Buckeye teammate quarterback Dwayne Haskins. This year the Redskins play five 2019 playoff teams including the San Francisco 49ers who are coming off a Super Bowl appearance. The Under might be the better play here, despite what the sportsbooks are signaling.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • Wins: 5.5
  • Over: -110
  • Under: -110

The Cincinnati Bengals had the worst record in the league last year with a final record of 2-14. This year they are predicted to almost triple the wins. The jump in predicted wins most likely comes from the No. 1 draft pick of the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Joe Burrow. The Ohio native is will have star wide receiver A.J Green to throw to and the addition of safety Vonn Bell and cornerback Mackensie Alexander on the opposite side of the ball.
