BALTIMORE – Lamar Jackson has announced that he’s requested a trade from the Baltimore Ravens and odds are already posted on where he’ll end up for Week 1 of the 2023-24 season. Although he requested a trade, oddsmakers are still heavily in favor of him staying in Baltimore.
in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team

Where Will Lamar Jackson Play Game 1 of 2023-24 Season?
- Baltimore Ravens -200
- Indianapolis Colts +300
- Miami Dolphins +750
- Atlanta Falcons +1000
- New England Patriots +1400
- Carolina Panthers +1500
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers +1500
- Detroit Lions+1500
- Washington Commanders +2000
- New York Jets +2000
Just because Jackson requested a trade doesn’t mean that the Ravens have to honor that which is likely the reason NFL betting sites have them favored to retain him. Baltimore used their non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson which allows him to go out and field offers, however, Baltimore could match it and keep him there.
After the trade request was made public, the Indianapolis Colts were one of the first teams to report interest and they have the assets to unload for him including the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft. This would allow Baltimore to select one of the QBs remaining.
The Colts are in desperate need of a QB after having four different QBs since Andrew Luck retired in 2018 and Jackson could be the end of their franchise QB search.
The Miami Dolphins are automatically linked to Jackson being that he has already been rumored to them dating back to last season. Jackson is a South Florida native so the ties to the team are certainly in place.
Miami does have two first-round picks in 2024 and 2025 that they could unload which would meet the two first-round picks asking price.
The Carolina Panthers are still in the market for a quarterback and the plan was for them to use their number one overall pick in the NFL Draft to select one. However, with Jackson’s trade request, this could be something that they look to explore.
There were also reports of Carolina being open to trading the pick. If Baltimore were to entertain that, there are plenty of QBs available and they’ll have their pick of the litter.
New York Jets
Although sitting with longer odds than the rest of the teams here, the New York Jets would actually make sense as a landing spot for Jackson. Yes, they’ve been linked strongly to Aaron Rodgers with a potential deal being done soon, but the Green Bay Packers are asking a similar price tag for Rodgers.
The Jets could turn around and offer that package for a much younger former MVP winner in Lamar and are expected to have around $60 million in cap space next season to work out an extension.

Lamar Jackson Week 1 2023
- Start For Any Other Team -225
- Start For Ravens +175
- Does Not Start Week 1 +550
Instead of betting on Jackson to end up with a specific team, these odds offer them in a pool. However, those that are confident in him remaining in Baltimore should take these odds on BetOnline rather than the ones at Bovada listed above for a significantly larger payout.
Lamar Jackson Total Starts 2023-24
- Over 13.5 -150
- Under 13.5 +110
Injuries are sure to play a role here which should have bettors sniffing the longer odds. Over his last two seasons, Jackson has suffered injuries that kept him to just 12 games played in each year.
Will Lamar Jackson Team Make 2023-24 Playoffs
- Yes -130
- No -110
No reason to mess around and take longer odds here. Jackson has led the Ravens to the playoffs in four of his five professional seasons and is a true difference maker to any team he ends up with.
