LAS VEGAS — With the NFL Draft season in full effect, there are different NFL Draft odds for who will be taken first at which positions. Tristan Wirfs leads the way for the offensive lineman and is deserving of that.

NFL sportsbooks have D’Andre Swift leading the way for running backs but is he deserving of it? The receiver position is heating up as Ceedee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy are looking to take the league by storm.

Offensive Lineman

There are several offensive linemen that are looking to make their mark on this years NFL Draft, starting with Tristan Wirfs. Wirfs took this year by storm at Iowa, as his position is not common to come out of the school.

He put on a dominating performance at the combine as he had a 4.85 second 40-yard dash time, 36.5-inch vertical jump and a 121-inch broad jump. All this for an offensive lineman. With a combine performance like this, he leads the odds board as the first o-line player to be taken off the board at -125.

Jedrick Wills is third on the odds board at +500 but should definitely have shorter odds. He had an impressive combine as well as he had a 5.05-second 40-yard dash, a 34.5-inch vertical jump, and a 113-inch broad jump. He also played football at Alabama, so that should be enough in itself as they only allowed 10 sacks all season on Tua Tagovailoa.

Running Backs

The running back position is a little confusing on this year’s NFL Draft odds board. D’Andre Swift surprisingly leads the odds of coming off the board first at -130. His stats do not show that at all as he had 1,218 yards and just seven touchdowns this year at Georgia. Unless oddsmakers know something that bettors don’t, do not expect him to be taken first.

Jonathan Taylor on the other hand, had a remarkable season at Wisconsin as he put up 2,003 yards and 21 touchdowns. He has had a lot of hype around him all season and could easily make a difference on any team he goes to. He is second on the odds board at +150 but bettors should not be surprised if he is the top back running back of the board.

J.K. Dobbins, like Swift, did not have a lot of news around him this season, but like Taylor, he had an amazing season. He even had the same stats as Taylor, putting up 2,003 yards and 21 touchdowns. He has +700 odds of being the first running back off the board but has the talent to be the first.

Wide Receiver

At the receiving position, there are only two players that have the potential of being taken first off the board. Ceedee Lamb and Jerry Jeudy. Lamb had an incredible year as he put up 1,327 yards and 14 touchdowns on 62 receptions. He did all of this with a new quarterback as well under Jalen Hurts who transferred from Alabama. He leads the NFL Draft odds board at -125 to be the first receiver taken in the draft.

Jerry Jeudy, however, could make his case for the top receiver in the NFL Draft as well. He had 1,163 yards and 10 touchdowns on 77 receptions. Again, he played at Alabama as well so this should help his case even more as that program is well-known for producing NFL talent. His odds at being take first at the position at +130 but shouldn’t be slept on.
