- The New York Jets have +40000 odds to win the Super Bowl.
- There are +17500 odds for the Jets to win the AFC Championship.
- The Jets have +2000 odds to win the AFC East.
NEW YORK – Whatever is below the bottom of the barrel is the category that the New York Jets are in and their preseason odds going into the 2026-27 regular season are an indication of just that.
Super Bowl sportsbooks have little to no faith in the New York Jets this season with all of their odds sitting towards the bottom of the board. The Jets go into the season with their second longest preseason odds since the earlier were recorded in 1977.
New York Jets Preseason Odds 2026-27
- Super Bowl: +40000
- AFC Championship: +17500
- AFC East: +2000
- Win Total: 5.5 (Over +105)
The New York Jets are currently pushing the longest active playoff drought in the NFL at 15 years. Their last playoff appearance came in 2010 when they finished 11-5 and went on to the AFC Championship game.
Since then, they’ve finished at or below a .500 record 14 times and in third or fourth place of the division 12 times. The Jets odds across the board are some of the worst preseason positions in team history.
Is There Anything To Look Forward To On Offense?
On offense, not much as long as Geno Smith is under center. Jets fans know exactly who Geno is having been drafted to the Jets and benched after two seasons. Behind him though, former Clemson QB Cade Klubnik was taken in the fourth round. Klubnik was a top-10 projected pick in the 2025 draft.
New York drafted well before Klubnik with Kenyon Sadiq, the best tight end in college football last year, and Omar Cooper, the leading receiver on Indiana’s National Championship team.
Add those rookies to Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson, it’s pretty solid. But again, it’s Geno Smith holding them back under center.
Defense Remains Strong
Defensively, the Jets have done well and remained competitive in recent seasons. They’ve finished in the top-5 for fewest yards allowed in three of the last four years and made notable additions this season.
The Jets reloaded both through the draft and in free agency. They drafted linebacker David Bailey with the second overall pick and CB D’Angelo Ponds from Indiana in the second round. Outside of the draft, they added David Onyemata, Demario Davis, and Minkah Fitzpatrick.
