Miami Will Host Three Day Music Festival Leading Up To Super Bowl

  • A three-day music festival will be happening in Miami for football fans who are in town for the big game.
  • Since the Halftime Show will be specific to one genre of music, the festival will embrace multiple genres to satisfy all of the NFL fans visiting the city.
  • Tickets are being sold on Ticketmaster for the events.

MIAMI – The Super Bowl isn’t the only big event happening in the 305.

In the days leading up to the biggest game of the year, there will be a three-day music festival that is known as the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest or simply, the Super Bowl Music Fest. A variety of artists covering a number of genres will be performing.

On Thursday, Snoop Dogg was announced as the opening act for Guns and Roses. The announcement exemplifies the sheer variety of artists that will take the stage before Super Bowl 54 begins.

The Who, What, When, Where, And Why

The Super Bowl has gotten its fair share of negative commentary when it’s come to their choice of performers for the Halftime Show the past few years. Viewers have said they’d like to see more of a Rock kind of style rather than the Pop they’ve been choosing.

This year, their headliners are Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, so it’s Latin-themed but it’s still another Pop choice nonetheless.

In order to give the people what they want, the Music Fest was created. Over the course of three days, music lovers will have a chance to see some type of performance by an artist from a genre they like. This is the Super Bowl’s way of trying to oblige their loyal NFL fans’ requests.

"The Super Bowl is America's biggest cultural moment, so it attracts people from a variety of different worlds — it also is a mix of local, national, and international guests. We plan Super Bowl Music Fest to appeal to the broad demographic of Super Bowl weekend and book different genres nightly — this year, we have hip-hop for EA Sports Bowl on Thursday, classic rock on Friday, and global pop on Saturday," said Amit Dhawan, the co-executive producer of the Music Fest.

The festivities begin on Thursday, January 30, in what they’re calling the EA Sports Bowl. The performers for Thursday will be DJ Khaled and Friends, Meek Mill, Dababy, and Megan Thee Stallion among other artists. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster and range in price from $50-$125. The show starts at 8:00 p.m. EST at the American Airlines Arena.

Day Two, known as Super Friday will headline the band Guns N’ Roses to give fans the Rock the fix they’ve been asking for. And interestingly enough, Snoop Dogg will be opening for them. That’s quite a twist of genres but should be a great performance. The concert begins at 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday, January 31 at the American Airlines Arena. Tickets are selling from $125- $400 each on ticket sites.

The night before the game, known as Super Bowl Eve, will have Maroon 5 take the stage with a special guest performance by Dan + Shay. The party starts at 8:00 p.m. EST on Saturday, February 1 at the American Airlines Arena. Ticket prices range from $100- $750 on various websites for purchase.

Super Bowl 54 will be held on February 2 at 6:30 p.m. EST at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The game will be televised by the FOX network.
