Denver Broncos Overvalued Against Philadelphia Eagles

  • The Denver Broncos are favored by 2.5 points against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
  • The Eagles are coming back with +125 odds on the moneyline as a possible underdog winner.
  • The total for the game is set at 45.5 points with a -110 betting line on both sides.

DENVER – The Philadelphia Eagles are labeled as underdogs against the Denver Broncos in Week 10. This could be a result of recency bias after the Broncos win over the Dallas Cowboys last week.

Betting The Spread: DEN -2.5

The Denver Broncos are 5-4 on the season, but their wins are less than impressive. They’ve beaten the Giants, Jaguars, Jets, Football Team and Cowboys. Aside from the win against Dallas, they’ve only beaten bottom-tier teams in the NFL.

NFL betting sites may be overvaluing them in Week 10.

Broncos vs Eagles Spread Odds

  • Denver Broncos -2.5 -110
  • Philadelphia Eagles +2.5 -110

The Philadelphia Eagles are potentially turning a corner as they’ve been playing better football over the last few weeks. Philadelphia is averaging 4.4 more points per game than Denver.

The Eagles have run the ball on 63% of their plays over the last three weeks and are averaging 4.7 yards per carry when doing so. If able to continue their success on the ground against Denver, Philly could be in line for a win.

Eagles vs Broncos Moneyline Odds

  • Philadelphia Eagles +125
  • Denver Broncos -145

The Broncos defense has allowed 5.1 yards per carry in the last three weeks which is good for second-worst in the NFL in that span.

Betting The Total: 45.5 Points

Those betting on the NFL could’ve found this total as low as 44.0 earlier in the week, but the line has since moved significantly. The UNDER is 7-2 in Denver’s games this year, making it interesting that the movement is towards the OVER.

Broncos vs Eagles Total Odds

  • OVER 45.5 -110
  • UNDER 45.5 -110

The average total of a Broncos game is 37.78 points, the lowest in the NFL, and is even lower when playing at home (35.25). Six of Denver’s nine games this year have had fewer than 44 points scored while only three of the Eagles’ nine games have done the same.

Further, six of their last seven games have gone OVER this mark.

This may come down to which team can enforce their style of play. If it’s a low-scoring game the Broncos will likely win but the more points scored, the better chance the Eagles have to end up on top.

Tune in to CBS at 4:25 p.m. EST on Sunday to watch the game.
