Can The Ravens Hold On To The #1 Seed In The AFC?

  • The Baltimore Ravens have +200 odds to be the top seed in the AFC.
  • The Kansas City Chiefs have +350 odds to be the top seed.
  • The New England Patriots odds to be the top seed in the AFC are +500.

BALTIMORE – As the standings sit, the Baltimore Ravens are the number one seed in the AFC, however, there are a few teams that are close behind that could jump into the top spot.

NFL betting sites have odds on which team will finish the season as the top seed in the AFC with the Ravens favored.

AFC #1 Seed Odds

  • Baltimore Ravens +200
  • Tennessee Titans +350
  • Kansas City Chiefs +350
  • Buffalo Bills +500
  • New England Patriots +500
  • Cincinnati Bengals +800
  • Los Angeles Chargers +2500
  • Indianapolis Colts +8000
  • Cleveland Browns +10000
  • Denver Broncos +10000

Baltimore Ravens

Considering their remaining schedule, the Baltimore Ravens may not be the smartest bet to make. They have the fourth toughest schedule left as their opponents combine for a 39-27-2 record.

Lamar Jackson is coming off of his worst game of the season where he went for his lowest passing yard total (165) and threw a season-high for interceptions (4).

With three of their six games remaining coming against top-15 defenses against opposing QB’s, Jackson’s struggles could continue and force them out of the top spot.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs should not be counted out of taking over the top seed in the AFC considering that they have turned a corner since starting the season 1-3.

They have gone on to win five of six games including their last four bringing their record to 7-4 - just one game behind the Ravens in the standings.

The Chiefs are far more experienced than the Ravens which will prove to be very valuable as the season continues. The Chiefs odds are sure to shift even shorter as the season goes on which makes getting in on them sooner rather than later a smart move to make.

New England Patriots

Although sitting with longer odds to take over the number one seed, the New England Patriots are the hottest team in the league right now having won six straight games and are playing at an elite level.

New England has an 8-4 record which is just a half-game behind Baltimore for the top spot. If the Pats keep on playing and winning like they have, the moment Baltimore drops another game, they could be looking down on the rest of the AFC.

Bill Belichick and his roster are no strangers to the top seed in the conference and are well equipped to hold on to that spot if they can get it.
