Will Saints-Chiefs Become A Pick ‘Em With Brees’ Return?

  • The New Orleans Saints are 10-3 and expected to have Drew Brees return this week.
  • As a three-point underdog on the spread, expect the odds and betting line for the Saints to move closer to EVEN.

NEW ORLEANS – After missing just over a month with 11 broken ribs and a collapsed right lung, Drew Brees is slated to return Week 15 against the Kansas City Chiefs. On Friday, the news broke that Brees would be in the starting lineup against the hottest team in the league.

At 10-3, the Saints are no slouches themselves but get the needed boost behind the future Hall of Famer, who helps the Saints average 30 points per game as opposed to Taysom Hill, who has them at about a touchdown less.

The total has been on the move since the line dropped after opening at 50 points. Now sitting at 51.5 points, the line continues to get money on the over, seeing action on many NFL sports betting sites.

The Chiefs opened as three-point favorites but the odds were removed as soon as the news broke. Expected to adjust by around a point or two, expect the home team Saints to be closer to a pick’ em come Sunday.

One thing to keep a note of is Drew Brees’ record against the Chiefs. At 4-6 all-time, the Saints likely will not be favored on the moneyline even with the addition of Brees. Even still, most of the losses have not been on the part of the quarterback, as Brees has thrown for 20 touchdowns and only nine interceptions to the Chiefs in his career.
