The New York Jets Are Still Favored To Go 0-16 This Season

  • The New York Jets are currently dead last in the league with an 0-12 record.
  • “Yes” is favored at -150 for the New York Jets To Go 0-16 In The Regular Season.
  • The Jets were favored earlier at -250 to remain the only winless team in the league.

NEW YORK – The New York Jets have had a historically bad season and have not managed to gain a single win after 12 games.

The team's lack of success has led to sports bettors putting action on if the Jets will finish the season 0-16.

Currently, sports bettors are leaning in favor of the possibility. Only the 2008 Detroit Lions and the 2017 Cleveland Browns have finished a season 0-16.

Wins And Losses

Those betting on the New York Jets have struggled to find winning betting lines surrounding the team this season. This wager, however, maybe the one to jump on.

Sports bettors are putting heavy action on the Jets finishing the season without a single win following their 28-31 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.

New York Jets To Go 0-16 In The Regular Season?

  • Yes -150
  • No +110

One of the big reasons why sports bettors are leaning in favor of the Jets going 0-16 is due to their remaining schedule.

In the next four games that the Jets play, they will face the 8-4 Seattle Seahawks, the 8-4 LA Rams, the 9-3 Cleveland Browns, and the 6-6 New England Patriots.

All the teams that the Jets will face for the remainder of the season are either playoff teams are teams fighting for playoff contention. These teams are unlikely to take their foot off the gas to allow the winless Jets to affect their season.

The Raiders' loss was the one game they had the best shot at winning, and the Jets managed to lose by only 3 points.

The loss to the Raiders resulted in the firing of Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams whose all-out blitz call resulted in a 46-yard touchdown by Henry Ruggs III to win the game in the last five seconds.

“At the start of my career, I heard that for seven years: You have 24 hours to get over it," said HC Adam Gase following the Raiders loss. "I think the only time I've ever been involved in a loss like this was to end a playoff game, so I could be pissed as long as I wanted to because nobody cares. It's tough. It's tough. Our players will do a good job and they will respond the right way. They have through this whole thing. As coaches, we have to do the same thing."

With such a tough schedule going forward, it is unlikely that the Jets will get another chance to win a game this season.

Underdog bettors who want to take the longshot odds +110 odds on the Jets winning before the season end, however, may have a chance to cash in big.

Of the four games remaining, the New England Patriots have the worst record. Super Bowl bettors will be taking longshot odds on New England chances compared to the other three teams.

While it is hard to wager against Bill Belichick, New England has been inconsistent all season. If the Patriots have an off day, and the Jets are fired up after the Raiders loss, an upset could realistically happen.

The Jets only lost by three points the first time they played the Patriots this season and maintained a lead for a good portion of the game. The difference will be that the second outing of these teams playing will be held in Foxborough.

Despite the team's horrendous season, there are still plenty of betting lines for the New York Jets at online sportsbooks.
