Previewing The Betting Odds For The Chiefs 2021 Season

  • The Kansas City Chiefs have remained favorites (+500) to win the Super Bowl since their odds opened.
  • The Chiefs led the league in total yards last season with 6,653 total yards.

KANSAS CITY — Dating back to the end of Super Bowl 55, the Kansas City Chiefs have been the favorites to win Super Bowl LVI ever since the +450 odds opened up.

The Kansas City Chiefs finished the 2020 season with the best record in the league at 14-2 and have been able to keep most of their starters and even bring in other pieces to help them remain above the rest.

They capped off their tremendous regular season having led the league in total yards at 6,653 scrimmage yards and are looking to claim the top spot once again in 2021. With pieces such as Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce leading the way for receivers, it is not hard to see why Patrick Mahomes’ touchdown total is set at 39.5.

Kansas City Chiefs Offseason Transactions

Aside from the fact that the Chiefs free agency and offseason transactions did not have much of an effect on their Super Bowl odds, some might conclude that these moves have made them stronger than they were before the offseason began.

Chiefs Offseason Acquisitions

  • Joe Thuney, OT
  • Jarran Reed, DL
  • Austin Blythe, OT
  • Mike Hughes, DB
  • Blake Bell, TE
  • Jerick McKinnon, RB
  • Orlando Brown, OT
  • Nick Bolton, LB
  • Creed Humphrey, OT
  • Joshua Kaindoh, DE

The Chiefs took a defensive approach on their free agency and NFL Draft process after their defense was ranked 10th in the league after giving up 362 points.

With the addition of five key pieces on defense through both the draft and free agency, they could be looking to ramp up their defense just as quickly as they did their offense.

Kansas City Chiefs Odds Movement

The Chiefs opened up as the favorites across the board with their Super Bowl odds, odds to win the AFC Championship, and their AFC West division championship odds.

All of their odds have seen the most minimal action in terms of shifting as the Chiefs opened up at +475 and now sit at an even +500 to win the Super Bowl. The same goes for their AFC Championship odds that opened at +230 and now sit at +250.

Their odds to win the AFC West have remained at -250.
