NFC East Division Outlook For 2021-2022 Season

  • The Dallas Cowboys are the +115 betting favorites to win the NFC East with a win total set at 9.5 games.
  • The Washington Football Team, projected to finish second, has -160 odds to miss the playoffs.
  • The New York Giants’ win total is set at 7.5 with the Under being a -145 favorite.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles have the shortest odds of any team to finish last in the NFC East.

LAS VEGAS – The NFC East is often at the receiving end of many jokes and memes, and deservingly so. Last season, the Washington Football Team was able to win the division with just seven wins.

Each team should theoretically improve, but the odds don’t predict much of a jump from most of the teams.

Dallas Cowboys: Division Favorite

The Dallas Cowboys have an excuse for their poor results last year as Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending injury. With Dak healthy and the +170 favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year ready to go, the Cowboys are projected to make the playoffs and win the division.

Dallas Cowboys To Make Playoffs

  • Yes -140
  • No +110

NFC East Division Winner

  • Dallas Cowboys +115
  • Washington Football Team +250
  • New York Giants +450
  • Philadelphia Eagles +500

Dallas’ win total is set at 9.5 games with both sides having -115 odds, but with Prescott’s return as well as the addition of Micah Parsons, the +450 favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year, they could go well north of this number.

Regardless, NFL betting sites believe the Cowboys are well-off as the best team in the division.

Washington Football Team: Defending Division Champs

The Washington Football Team won the division in 2020, but were only able to amass seven wins. Sports betting sites expect improvement as their win total is set at 8.5 with the Over being a slight -120 favorite, but don’t anticipate a playoff appearance.

Washington Football Team To Make Playoffs

  • Yes +120
  • No -160

The Football Team has +250 odds to win the division as the second choice, but with a new quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick, it’s tough to see the defense being able to replicate its performance from a season ago.

New York Giants: A Potential Dark Horse?

On paper, the New York Giants are a possible breakout team. With Saquon Barkley, Kenny Golladay Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and Evan Engram there will be a lot of pressure on Daniel Jones at quarterback.

Despite the talent, it isn’t expected to lead to success.

Giants To Make The Playoffs

  • Yes +200
  • No -275

The team's win total is set at 7.5 with the Under being set at -145 and the team has +155 odds to finish last in the division which is just narrowly ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia Eagles: Worst Team In Worst Division?

Unfortunately for Eagles fans, the team is expected to finish in last place in what could very well be the worst division in all of football.

They are the +130 favorites to finish in last in the NFC East. Plus, the team has -375 odds to miss the playoffs.

Philadelphia Eagles Win Total

  • Over 6.5 -145
  • Under 6.5 +110

Jalen Hurts could possibly overperform and lead the team to a somewhat successful season, but with the current roster, it’s hard to see this team making a push for the playoffs or being contenders in the NFC East.
