  • Kyler Murray has +135 underdog odds to finish the regular season with 1000 rushing yards or more.
  • Murray is on pace to finish the season with 1086 yards.
  • The Arizona Cardinals quarterback also has +1500 odds to lead the league in rushing touchdowns.

PHOENIX – Looking to join very elite company for regular season accolades, Kyler Murray is producing at levels many thought would only occur in college for the duel-athlete.

Sitting eight in the league in total rushing yards – and the QB with the most rushing yards – Murray has recorded 543 yards on the ground.

About 300 yards away from the current rushing leader in Dalvin Cook, Murray has proven his abilities to break the game open on the ground, sitting with five runs of 20 yards or more – only one behind the leader in Nick Chubb.

Still, the thought isn’t that Murray could lead the league in rushing but rather if the Arizona Cardinals quarterback will finish the regular season with 1000 rushing yards or more.

Will Kyler Murray Rush For 1000+ Yards? (Reg. Season Only)

  • No -175
  • Yes +135

Posted as an underdog, Murray would join Michael Vick in 2006 and Lamar Jackson in 2019 as the only three quarterbacks to reach this season milestone.

Needing to average 62.5 yards per game to hit 1000 yards, Murray is currently on pace to surpass this mark, averaging 67.88 yards per game.

Murray is slightly behind Vick and Jackson at the eight-game mark, who had averages of 72 and 79.6 yards per game, respectively, in their 1000+ yard rushing seasons.

Arizona Cardinals Upcoming Schedule
W10: Buffalo Bills
W11: Seattle Seahawks
W12: New England Patriots
W13: LA Rams
W14: New York Giants
W15: Philadelphia Eagles
W16: San Francisco 49ers
W17: LA Rams

Looking ahead to Murray’s future opponents, he may find the mark easiest to attain than expected. Murray battles four of the top 15 teams that allow the most rushing yards against quarterbacks.

Between the 49ers (1), Eagles (2), Seahawks (6), Bills (12), Murray should be able to make these underdog odds work in his favor.

To add fuel to the fire, Murray has not only been recording the yardage but also scoring touchdowns as well on the ground.

With a rushing touchdown in every game except one on the season, Murray has been a mold of consistency, recording eight rushing touchdowns thus far.

Still, the QB is four touchdowns away from the rushing touchdown leader in Dalvin Cook but sits tied for the third-most in the NFL heading into Week 9.

Regardless, Murray has +1500 odds at NFL sportsbooks to lead the league in rushing touchdowns – a less likely NFL bet but one that comes with excellent odds.

Murray’s 5-3 Arizona Cardinals will take on the 7-2 Buffalo Bills at home, kicking off Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS.
