Former +4000 Odds On Giants To Win NFC East Now At +225

  • The New York Giants have dropped from +4000 to +225 odds to win the NFC East.
  • After beating the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles, the Giants have the best division record.

NEW YORK – After starting the season with an injury to star running back Saquon Barkley, all hope was immediately lost for the New York Giants. However, for the second time in his career, Daniel Jones led the Giants to victory in back to back games, providing some hope to those who bet on the NY Giants.

Jones has taken care of the football, giving his team two turnover-less games on their current two-game streak within the division. And in the NFC East, a two-game streak goes a long way.

Currently, the Giants are second in line on the NFC East oddsboard behind the Philadelphia Eagles after starting off the season as high as +4000 in October.

NFC East Odds

  • Philadelphia Eagles -140
  • New York Giants +225
  • Washington Football Team +650
  • Dallas Cowboys +700

The Giants haven’t won the NFC East since their 2001 Super Bowl-winning season but are the only team in the division with a winning record over the last five games.

With the Cowboys basically throwing in the towel on the year, only Alex Smith or Carson Wentz can stand in Danny Dimes’ way.

NFC East Division Records
New York 3-2
Philadelphia 2-2
Washington 2-2
Dallas 1-2

While things certainly do support a Giants’ run in the division, their upcoming schedule will play a major factor in their overall record, which sits two losses and a tie behind the Eagles.

Four of the Giants' next six games come against opponents with a winning record, which includes names such as the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, and Baltimore Ravens.

To the benefit of the Giants, the Eagles’ schedule may be more difficult. In back to back to back to back weeks, the Eagles play vs. Seattle (MNF), at Green Bay, vs. New Orleans, and at Arizona.

The Washington Football Team still lurks in the back, and their +650 odds wouldn’t be a bad hedge either.

With games against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cowboys, and Carolina Panthers, the Football Team could find themselves controlling their own destiny. And with a Week 17 game against the Eagles, that could be the deciding factor that bettors would need to pay attention to for hedging purposes.

Still, the Giants are the ones that have been winning and scoring on a consistent basis. In their last two games, the Giants have scored a touchdown in five of the last eight quarters and have put points on the board in all but one.

With COVID running through the clubhouse, it remains to be seen how effective the team can be depending on the players in the question. However, with a united team stand, the Giants may be able to beat the odds and come away winning the NFC East in 2020.
