Detroit Favored To Reclaim NFC North; All Other Under +500

DETROIT – One of the closest sets of divisional odds going into the 2026 NFL season is the NFC North and is arguably one of the most even in the league as well. All four teams have finished in first place over the last five seasons.

Super Bowl sportsbooks are tagging the Detroit Lions as the favorites to win with +155 odds, while all other teams in the division come in under +500. The Minnesota Vikings come in with the longest odds at +425.

Can Lions Bounce Back?

Detroit is coming off an unusual 9-8 season after going 15-2 in 2024 for the best finish in franchise history. The Lions odds do sit tentatively at the top of the board, however, they did suffer a loss in David Montgomery, who was traded to the Houston Texans. While they did replace him with Isiah Pacheco from the Kansas City Chiefs, there are questions about his yards per carry.

The team as a whole is expecting a big jump in the receiver room, especially second-year receiver Isaac TeSlaa.

Bears Take Another Leap

The Chicago Bears came out last season and won their first division title since 2018. Now the Bears' odds are reflective of that as they sit with the second-shortest in the division. Chicago is coming off its first 10+ win season since 2018 as well.

Although the Bears moved on from DJ Moore, Rome Odunze took a nice step forward while Luther Burden and Colston Loveland performed well as rookies. Chicago also made several key moves on defense that should bolster its bottom-10 squad with Devin Bush, Coby Bryant, and Kyler Gordon.

Packers Taking A Step Back?

The Packers odds come in at third on the board, and all signs point towards a regression. They lost offensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, who is now the head coach of the Miami Dolphins, and also lost several key pieces on both sides of the ball.

Green Bay lost Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks at receiver and Rashan Gary, Quay Walker, and Kingsley Enagbare on defense.

Vikings Could Make A Surprise Run

The Vikings odds are interesting. Despite coming in last on the board and last season, the addition of Kyler Murray as QB1 has many around the league interested. Kevin O’Connell is known as a great QB developer and QB resurgence specialist.

Murray is coming off a down season last year and only played five games as well. When fully healthy, we’ve seen him throw for nearly 4,000 yards and run for 800+ yards. That is the ceiling that many around the league are hopeful for this season.
