Can The Texans Get On The Board?
With the amount of hype that went into the Texans' defense this offseason, many would think that they’d have at least won a game. That has not been the case at all, as Houston’s defensive unit is allowing 25 points and over 325 yards per game.
That will not cut it against an offense of this caliber in the Cowboys. Dallas is top-10 in the NFL in points per game at 29.3 and over 330 yards per game. Where things could take a turn for the Texans' defense is in the secondary, where they rank in the bottom-10, allowing 238.7 pass yards per game. Dallas is right up there with 236 yards per game of their own, which could certainly play a role on Texas sportsbooks.
It’s also worth noting that Dallas just traded for Joey Porter Jr. in the secondary, who could potentially make his season debut in Week 5. That now makes seven new additions to the Cowboys' defensive starters since last season through a trade, free agency, or the NFL Draft.
