Can The Buccaneers Make A Case For The NFC Championship?

  • MyBookie has the Tampa Bay Buccaneers listed with +300 odds to win the NFC Championship.
  • The Buccaneers have +400 odds to win the NFC Championship on Bovada.

TAMPA BAY, Fla. – With the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs about to get underway, NFL bettors can start looking at the NFC Championship odds. More specifically for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and if they are worth the risk or not.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' odds to win the NFC title are not all that bad but they do vary on different sites.

On MyBookie, their odds are listed at +300 which is tied for the second shortest odds. On Bovada, they are listed at +400 which are good for the third shortest NFC odds. This is where shopping lines on different sites would come in handy as if anyone were to take the chance on the Buccaneers, they would get a better payout from Bovada as their odds are longer.

Looking at the Buccaneers route through the playoffs, they have a first-round matchup with the Washington Football Team where they are going into the game seen as the heavy favorites and for a good reason. Washington has not had their heads on straight all season long as they finished with a below-average 7-9 record and only made the playoffs as they outlasted the other below-average teams in their division.

With that said, this is a good start for their playoff run as they will likely make it past the first round.

As for their second-round matchup, if they in fact do win against Washington, they will face the Green Bay Packers who finished their season at 13-3 and who will also be fresh off of a bye week. It will also be likely that Super Bowl sports betting sites will have the Bucs listed as underdogs in this game being that the Packers have been a force all season long.

However, one of the Packers' three losses actually came at the hands of the Buccaneers where they got blasted with a final score of 38-10. This could back up their NFC Championship odds even more.

Not to mention, the Packers will be without their star left tackle, David Bakhtiari, as he was placed on IR for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Those that bet on the NFL regularly should know that betting against Tom Brady, especially in the playoffs, is never a good idea as he has proven time and time again that age is just a number to him as he has continues to rack up Super Bowl rings. In short, NFL bettors should be jumping at the chance to bet on the Buccaneers before their odds to win the NFC Championship get any shorter.
