3 Best Anytime TD Odds for Week 6 TNF

  • Antonio Gibson has +260 odds to score a touchdown in Week 6.
  • Cole Kmet is listed with +390 touchdown odds.
  • There are +300 odds for Darnell Mooney to score a touchdown.

CHICAGO – Week 6 of the NFL season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders in a dumpster fire matchup as both teams sit below .500 in the standings and also have an even line on the spread.

While this matchup could be a toss-up being that both teams are equally struggling, NFL betting sites do have other ways to find value here and one of the most popular ones are the anytime touchdown odds that can be found on Bovada.

Antonio Gibson (+260)

Antonio Gibson’s Commanders player odds to score a TD on Thursday Night Football are strong and for a good reason. They are the fifth shortest odds on the anytime TD odds for the game as he is being set up with a real nice matchup against a weak Chicago defense.

Teams have been running all over Chicago in the redzone this season as they’ve let up the most attempts (35) and the most rushing yards (108). They have also let opposing teams go for seven touchdowns when inside the 20-yard line which is tied for the second most in the league.

Helping Gibson’s case, even more, is that he is the most used Commanders player when in the redzone as he sees 64.29% of the offensive snaps when in that range. He is also the only rushing player on Washington to have over two redzone rushing attempts.

With the combination of a terrible redzone defense and the Commanders redzone gameplan, expect Gibson to make his way for 6 and cash the odds.

Cole Kmet (+390)

Although the Bears heading to the redzone has been a tough ask this season, the matchup with Washington will let them drive up and down the field numerous times and Cole Kmet could finally make his way for a touchdown. For what it's worth, of just the five redzone passing completions that Chicago has made this season, Kmet has been on the receiving end for three of them.

He is also somewhat of a safety blanket for Fields to throw to as he is third on the team in targets (12) and second in receptions (9). Washington’s defense against tight ends this season has also been one to forget as they’ve let up just under 1,000 yards to the position and five touchdowns. With all said and done, Kmet could be a very valuable pick given the expected game script for Thursday Night.

Darnell Mooney (+300)

Yes, two Chicago receivers on this list is crazy considering Justin Fields has just three passing touchdowns all season. However, this Washington defense has allowed three of five opposing QBs to go for 2+ TDs, and being that Darnell Mooney is their first option at receiver, it is hard to overlook his Chicago player prop odds.

Luckily for Mooney, the Commanders redzone passing/receiving defense is amongst one of the worst in the league letting up the fifth most receiving yards inside the 20 (124) and are tied for the third most touchdowns allowed (8).

Something else that helps Mooney is his incredible deep ball ability which makes him a touchdown threat from anywhere the Bears are lined up. Although he got off to a slow start, he’s been picking up over his last two games with a 56- and a 39-yard reception in those two games.
