LOS ANGELES – It was an eventful Week 1 in the NFL with several contenders showcasing their abilities and others not living up to the preseason hype. There’s been plenty of movement throughout the Super Bowl 61 odds board after just one week.
Super Bowl sportsbooks updated the odds following Week 1 just ahead of Week 2. The top of the board remains with the Los Angeles Rams favored, however, they lost some juice following their slip-up early on.

Super Bowl Risers
The Kansas City Chiefs odds proved to be underpriced coming into the season, and their dominant performance in Week 1 is a strong indication of just that. Many were hesitant to back the Chiefs considering Patrick Mahomes is coming off a torn ACL and the defense lost several starters. The Chiefs blew up against the Denver Broncos, winning 31-10, and were led by Kenneth Walker on the ground with 173 yards and a touchdown. The Chiefs opened with +1500 odds.
The New York Giants odds came into the season with +6500 odds and came out of Week 1 with +4500 odds. The Giants looked tremendous in John Harbaugh’s first game as head coach. They defeated the Dallas Cowboys as underdogs 28-20 and put up nearly 400 yards behind Jaxson Dart’s 230 passing yards and Isaiah Likely’s two touchdowns.
Super Bowl Fallers
The Los Angeles Rams odds remain at the top of the board despite losing their Week 1 game. The Rams drew concerns in Week 1 after losing 27-7 to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Melbourne game. However, the concerns come as the Rams' travel plans to Australia for the game were eye-opening, having only traveled there 48 hours before the game. A Week 1 loss is no cause for concern despite their odds dropping from +450 to +600.
The biggest fallers were the Los Angeles Chargers odds who fell from +1800 to +2500. This comes as the Chargers lost outright to the Arizona Cardinals, who had just a 3.5-game win total for the season. The Chargers were the biggest favorite on the Week 1 slate at 9.5 points. They were held to 268 yards and went just 2/8 on third-down conversions.
