Backing all of the Ravens odds are the fact that they’ve made several necessary offseason moves to ensure a turnaround from their 8-9 finish last season.
They bulked up the defensive line in acquiring Trey Hendrickson from the Cincinnati Bengals and Calais Campbell, who spent 2020 to 2022 with the team. On offense, they did plenty to ensure Lamar Jackson succeeds as well in drafting Vega Ioane in the first round on the offensive line and signing John Simpson and Ethan Pocic to Jackson’s protection as well.
The draft also addressed a need at receiver with Ja’Kobi Lane and Elijah Sarratt. Both are coming off 740+ yard seasons in their final collegiate seasons.
More At Stake For Lamar
Something of note is that Lamar Jackson is playing for a contract this season. After his extension talks stalled in February, Jackson and the team have not met again regarding a deal. Jackson represents himself without an agent and is taking a bet on himself by not opening talks again before the season. In other words, Jackson could be in line for an MVP-like season, which strengthens their odds even more.
Ravens Odds At A Glance
The Ravens have had moderate success since 2019, when Lamar Jackson took over as QB1. They’ve gone over their projected win totals in three of seven seasons and 11+ wins in four of those years.
In the AFC North, they’ve won three division titles with this year’s +100 being the third-shortest preseason odds since 2019.
They’ve been to one AFC Championship game in 2023-24 where they lost. The preseason +550 odds to win the conference this season are tied for the third shortest since 2019. Their +1200 preseason Super Bowl odds are the second longest in that same span.
