Rodgers Favored But Cooper Kupp’s MVP Odds Can’t Be Overlooked

  • Aaron Rodgers is favored to win the MVP with +125 odds.
  • Cooper Kupp has +3300 odds to win the MVP.

LOS ANGELES – With just three weeks left in the regular season, it is time to start taking the MVP odds seriously and consider every option. As they sit right now, Aaron Rodgers is favored to win back-to-back MVP awards.

However, one players odds to consider on NFL sportsbooks are those of Cooper Kupp. Kupp has had an incredible season thus far and has not gone unnoticed.

NFL MVP Odds

  • Aaron Rodgers +125
  • Tom Brady +175
  • Jonathan Taylor +800
  • Matthew Stafford +1000
  • Patrick Mahomes +1200
  • Josh Allen +1800
  • Cooper Kupp +3300
  • Justin Herbert +3300

Aaron Rodgers has regressed since last season with a stat line of 3,487 passing yards, 30 TDs, 4 Int, and a 67.3 QBR.

Rodgers is over 500 yards away from surpassing 4,000 passing yards. If Rodgers does not hit 4,000 yards, it will be his first time in four fully healthy seasons that he does reach it.

Also, there has also been just one player in history to win two MVPs in a row and that was Peyton Manning in 2008 and 2009.

Kupp’s Case

Even with slightly longer odds to win the award, Kupp has been having a breakout season with the Los Angeles Rams and will very well be considered to win. Kupp has gone for 1,625 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns on 122 receptions - all of which lead the league.

Kupp also leads in targets (164), yards after catch (693), yards per game (116.1), and first down receptions (75).

One thing that would solidify Kupp being strongly considered to win the MVP would be if he broke Calvin Johnson’s single-season receiving yard record. Johnson’s record is 1,964 receiving yards - 339 more than Kupp has currently. With Kupp already averaging 116.1 yards per game this season, he is on pace to break the record.

Kupp has made a strong enough case to win the MVP and his odds would offer a $3,300 payout on a $100 bet if taken right now.
