HOUSTONTyrod Taylor is returning to action in Week 9 after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 2 that has kept him sidelined ever since.

With his return, NFL betting sites have odds on his passing yard total and all signs are pointing towards the Over with his spectacular matchup against the Miami Dolphins.

Tyrod Taylor Passing Yard Total

  • Over 229.5 -115
  • Under 229.5 -115

Heavy-Hitting Matchup

The Dolphins are the second-worst team in the league against opposing quarterbacks allowing them to throw for 291.1 yards per game. The Dolphins have allowed six opposing quarterbacks to hit the Over this season.

  • Mac Jones
  • Derek Carr
  • Tom Brady
  • Trevor Lawrence
  • Matt Ryan
  • Josh Allen

Looking at where opposing quarterbacks have been attacking the Dolphins, they are mostly attacking the left side of the field. In Week 8, Josh Allen completed 16 of 29 passes to the left while Tom Brady put up 16 of 30 completed passes to the left in Week 5. Derek Carr saw 11 of 26 completions to the left with just nine to the right.

If Taylor were to continue this trend, he could be looking at hitting the Over as well. Something else worth noting is that in the one healthy game that Taylor started this season against the fourth-worst Jacksonville Jaguars, he hit the Over after positing 291 yards.

With the spread being than a touchdown (Hou +5.5), this could be a close game that could set up plenty of passing opportunities for Taylor to hit the Over.
