MIAMI - The wait is over as the NFL has officially announced Demi Lovato as this year’s Super Bowl national anthem singer. The pop star will take the reins on Sunday, February 2, 2020 during the Super Bowl pregame show.

The 27-year-old singer/songwriter confirmed this in a tweet sent out on her official twitter page.

Lovato joins a long line of super stars who have graced the stage during the pregame of the Super Bowl. Legends like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Keys just to name a few.

Lovato is coming off a successful release for her fifth studio album Confident. The album debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 and has since been certified Gold by the RIAA. Her single, “Cool for the Summer” was number one on iTunes in 37 different countries just hours after being released.
