CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Carolina Panthers enter 2026 coming off of their highest win total since the 2017 season and first division title since 2015. They finished 2025 with an 8-9 record, good enough to secure the three-way tiebreaker in the NFC South.
The Panthers' efforts last year were enough for Super Bowl sportsbooks to give them a sizeable jump on the 2026 preseason odds board, with their odds to win the Super Bowl, NFC Championship, and NFC South all moving up the board.
Preseason Carolina Panthers Odds
- Super Bowl: +9000
- NFC Championship: +4500
- NFC East: +350
- Win Total: 6.5
Running It Back
Was last year's NFC South just weak, or were the Carolina Panthers somewhat competitive? A little bit of both. After a rough 1-3 start to last season, the Panthers went on to win seven of their last 13 games behind a career high passing season for Bryce Young. Young totaled 3,011 yards and 23 passing touchdowns.
While the Panthers did not make much noise in the free agency, keeping most of its starters the same, they made some notable draft picks on the offensive line to address the 27 total sacks allowed on Young last season. Carolina drafted Monroe Freeling in the first round, who allowed less than a handful of sacks last season with Georgia, and Sam Hecht was selected in the fifth round out of Kansas State and allowed zero sacks in his final season.
Other than the offensive line moves, the Panthers and oddsmakers alike are expecting big jumps forward from their up-and-comers on both sides, especially in the receiver room with Tetairoa McMillan, Xavier Leggette, and Jalen Coker.
With the additions and progression expected, the Panthers odds across the board are the second highest preseason point spread over the last five seasons.
