AFC South Division Outlook For The 2021-22 Season

  • The Indianapolis Colts have +110 odds to win the AFC South division.
  • The Tennessee Titans have +115 odds to win the AFC South.
  • The Jacksonville Jaguars win total is set at 6.5 wins.
  • The Houston Texans have +650 odds to make the playoffs.

LAS VEGAS — The AFC South has recently been made into a two-team race between the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans as both teams have gotten stronger over the years. On the opposite side of the division, the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are well behind the AFC South odds that heavily favor the aforementioned teams.

AFC South Odds To Win

  • Indianapolis Colts +110
  • Tennessee Titans +115
  • Jacksonville Jaguars +700
  • Houston Texans +2500

The Colts brought in Carson Wentz at quarterback which is still an experiment for them, but do have the talent around him to help him succeed with Jonathan Taylor at running back and a receiving core led by T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman Jr., and more.

The Tennessee Titans though have the biggest and strongest workhorse in the league right now with Derrick Henry and have revamped their receiving group adding in Julio Jones to the mix to line up across from AJ Brown.

Indianapolis Colts Season Outlook

Indianapolis Colts Win Total

  • Over 10 Wins -105
  • Under 10 Wins -125

Indianapolis Colts Odds To Make The Payoffs

  • Yes -180
  • No +135

The Colts have recently established themselves as one of the premier teams in the league with the second-ranked offensive line ahead of the 2021 season, along with all of the other young talent that surrounds them.

The main question regarding the Colts though is Carson Wentz being that this is his first year with the team and is also seen as injury-prone.

Their current regular season odds will rely heavily on the assumption that Carson Wentz can stay healthy throughout the season.

If he can successfully do that, the Over would not be a problem. However, being that he has only played two fully healthy seasons in his six-year career, betting on the Under early on could turn out to be a profitable bet to make.

Tennessee Titans Season Outlook

Tennessee Titans Win Total

  • Over 9.5 Wins -125
  • Under 9.5 Wins -105

Tennessee Titans Odds To Make The Playoffs

  • Yes -150
  • No +115

The Tennessee Titans, although sitting with the second shortest odds to win the division, should be the team that bettors flock to before the season starts. Some are still underestimating the star power behind this team and those that bet against could pay the consequences.

Not to mention, they are the reigning AFC South champions for a reason.

Bettors should look ahead of the fact that the Titans have only hit the Over in one of their last five seasons being that the other four seasons each saw nine wins. Now with an extra game added to the season, they should have no problem hitting the Over on their win total.

As for their odds to make the playoffs, bettors should not make any mistake here as they have made the playoffs in three of their last five seasons including the last two. With that said, money can be made betting on the Titans across the board.

Jacksonville Jaguars Season Outlook

Jacksonville Jaguars Win Total

  • Over 6.5 Wins -120
  • Under 6.5 Wins -110

Jacksonville Jaguars Odds To Make The Playoffs

  • Yes +300
  • No -450

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made all of the necessary moves in the offseason to continue pushing their rebuild. However, bettors should make no mistake that the Jags are still in a rebuilding stage and do not have nearly enough to compete with either the Colts or the Titans.

They do have a legitimate chance to hit the Over on their win total, however, when it comes to their odds to make the playoffs, bettors should steer clear as they have missed them in 12 of their last 13 seasons.

Houston Texans Season Outlook

Houston Texans Odds To Make The Playoffs

  • Yes +650
  • No -1400

In short, the Houston Texans should not be bet on in any circumstances this season. They have completely collapsed having lost a ton of starters from the last two seasons including Deshaun Watson, who is trying to force his way out while dealing with legal issues.

All of the recent successful seasons that the Texans have had should not have a role in the decision to bet on them or not as they are irrelevant at this point considering that the players they once had have moved on. All in all, bettors are better off donating money rather than betting on the Texans.
