Previewing The Betting Odds For The Falcons 2021 Season

  • The Atlanta Falcons have +8000 odds to win the Super Bowl.
  • The Falcons have +3000 odds to win the NFC Championship.
  • The Falcons have the third-longest odds to win the NFC South with +750 odds.

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Falcons have certainly seen better days as their odds to win Super Bowl 56 are way down at the bottom of the odds board at +8000.

The Falcons finished the 2020 season with a 4-12 record which was also their third straight season with a below .500 record.

One thing that the Falcons are hoping to improve in the 2021 season is their defense in general. In 2020, they were the fourth-worst team in terms of yards allowed per game as they let up 6,374 yards and 398.4 yards per game last season.

Falcons Offseason Moves

Looking at what the Falcons did in the offseason, they were not as active as some might have expected, especially on the defensive end.

However, they were able to put together a solid draft class and some free agency pickups.

Falcons Offseason Acquisitions

  • Mike Davis, RB
  • Duron Harmon, DB
  • Cordrrelle Patterson, WR/RB
  • Brandon Copeland, LB
  • Jonathan Bullard, DL
  • Jason Springs, OT
  • Fabian Moreau, DB
  • Kyle Pitts, TE
  • Richie Grant, DB
  • Jalen Mayfield, OT

Although their needs were mostly on defense, the Falcons two biggest offseason moves were signing Mike Davis to be their lead running back and drafting Kyle Pitts to take over tight end duties.

Davis is coming off of his best season in the NFL and Kyle Pitts showcased that he does more than a usual NFL tight end from his time at the University of Florida.

Falcons Odds Movement

The Falcons saw their Super Bowl odds shift way down from +5000 where they first opened to +8000 upon the start of the season. As one of the longest longshots of the season, their NFC Championship odds followed suit and took a dip from +2300 to +3000.

While not many are taking Falcons NFL futures odds this season, their +750 odds to win the NFC South division title really prove how far out of the race they are.
