BUFFALO, N.Y. – The AFC East is not as wide open as some might’ve expected, with the Buffalo Bills holding strong at the top of the board and a wide margin between them and the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins.
The Bills are one of the top bets on the Super Bowl and expect to win their divisionat -190 odds. However, the New England Patriots should not be counted out following their run to the Super Bowl last season, and oddsmakers back that.

Bills Back On Top
After failing to win the AFC East for a sixth consecutive season, the Buffalo Bills odds open up under even odds as the favorites for the fifth time in that span. Following Buffalo’s 12-5 finish last season and loss in the divisional round, they reloaded and are ready for a run this season.
They added needed wide receiver depth in DJ Moore and added to an already strong defense in Bradley Chubb, Dee Alford, and CJ-Gardner Johnson.
Patriots Build Off Super Bowl Run
The Patriots' odds are holding strong behind Buffalo following their first Super Bowl appearance since 2019. That comes not only with the breakout and emergence of Drake Maye, but also with how they built off that success in adding AJ Brown and Romeo Doubs to the wide receiver room.
New England is also miles ahead of the Jets and Dolphins, so the fact that they sit far ahead of both on the odds board is no mistake.
Jets, Dolphins Not Threats
Now for the bottom of the board, in no way will the Jets or Dolphins make a run this season. The Jets odds sit in third, given that they are coming off a bottom-three offensive and defensive season with a -203 point differential. They now turn to Geno Smith as their starting QB.
As for Miami, they’ve completely revamped their roster by cutting Tyreek Hill, trading away Jaylen Waddle, and moving on from Tua Tagovailoa. They also fired head coach Mike McDaniel.
In wake of the recent moves, Miami hired former Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as its new head coach and brought in Malik Willis as QB from the Packers as well. That said, the Dolphins odds are nowhere near contention, and rightfully so.
